Cara Mund is a 2016 honors graduate in Business, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations from Brown University. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor Degree at Georgetown University Law Center. With a passion for employment law, Cara is focusing on an individual’s rights in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. On September 10, 2017, Cara made history by becoming the first woman from the state of North Dakota to be awarded the title of Miss America. In her role as Miss America 2018, Cara advocated the importance of empowering women, education, and community service. She served as the National Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as well as promoted her own personal platform, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
